"Pro-women" to me refers to a stance or approach that supports and advocates for the rights, interests, and well-being of women. Being pro-women involves recognizing and addressing the challenges and inequalities that women face in various aspects of life.
Equal Rights
Advocating for equal rights and opportunities for women in all areas of society, including politics, education, employment, and healthcare.
Reproductive Rights
Balancing the respect for life with defending a woman's right to make decisions about their own bodies, including access to reproductive healthcare, contraception, and abortion services. Although I am for a woman's right to chose, unlike my opponent, I am not for late term or partial birth abortion.
Pro-Information
In a world where we try to define reproductive rights as either/or, meaning Pro-Life or Pro-Abortion, I am for providing women information on all their options so that they can make the choice appropriate for them. If we are going to use federal funds for services that advocate for abortion, we should have an equal measure of dollars to assist women who may choose the path of preserving the life of her child.
Protection of Title IX
Many have fought hard to provide women with equal opportunity and access to sports, and we need to preserve these gains that have been made for biological women.
Childcare Assistance
To help women achieve their desires in the workplace, and to help America increase its birthrate, we need to provide childcare assistance to young developing families.
Ending Violence Against Women
Working to end gender-based violence and harassment, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. This involves raising awareness, providing support services for survivors, and holding perpetrators accountable.
Supporting Women-Owned Businesses
Encouraging economic empowerment by supporting women-owned businesses, entrepreneurship initiatives, and access to financial resources and opportunities.
